Settings > Discounts
In DogBizPro you can offer different types of discounts to your clients when they register online.
The first type of discount is a Promo Code Discount. This is a basic type of discount where you give your client a promo code that they will type in when they register online in order for the discount to be applied.
The second discount type is a Client Discount. This is similar to the Promo Code Discount in that you can create the discount, but then instead of giving a code to your client you can go the clients page and assign it to that client. This way the client never needs to enter a code to get the discount.
The final type of discount is the Multi-Dog Discount. This is a discount you can setup that will be triggered when one client registers multiple dogs for a single class or event.
To create a new discount:
- Navigate to the Admin Module -> Setup -> Settings -> Discounts page.
- Click New Discount.
- Fill out the information for the new discount.
- Click Save.
To edit an existing discount:
- Navigate to the Admin Module -> Setup -> Settings -> Discounts page.
- Click on the discount you wish to change.
- Fill out the information for the discount.
- Click Save.
Fields
Title: this is the title you choose to give to the discount.
Type: the type field is where you will select what type (described above) of discount you are creating.
Code: if this is a Promo Code Discount, you will need to enter the code you will be giving your clients to enter.
Amount: in this field you will enter the discount amount and choose whether this is a flat dollar or percentage off discount.
Expires: this will determine when the discount expires and is no longer valid.
Apply To: this allows you to choose how you want the discount to be applied.
- Whole Order - this will apply to the order total. If it is a percentage discount the total will be decreased by the given percentage. If it is a dollar discount the order total will be decreased by that dollar amount.
- Each Item - this will apply to each item that matches your selected criteria. If this is a percentage the order total will be decreased by the percentage corresponding to the items that matched your criteria. If this is a dollar discount, the order total will be decreased by the dollar amount for each item that matches your criteria.
- Highest Priced Item - this will apply to the highest priced item that matches your selected criteria.
- Lowest Priced Item - this will apply to the lowest priced item that matches your selected criteria.Exp Date: this field allows you to have a discount expire on the given date.
Valid For: this field allows you to specify the criteria for your discount. Only the items that match this on a client's order will be discounted.
