Setting Up Online Registration

The Client Registration Portal allows your clients to update their information and register for classes, events and other services online.


To configure online registration:

  1. Navigate to the Admin Module -> Setup -> Online Registration -> Configuration page.
  2. Configure the settings for each section.
  3. Click Update for each section in which you make changes. 


Client Settings

  1. Allow Clients to create/update their Profile: by checking this your clients will be able to register for a new account and login to the Client Registration Portal to update their personal and their dog's information.
  2. Allow Clients to post Classes & Events to Facebook & Twitter: by checking this you are allowing the Facebook and Twitter icons to be displayed in the Client Registration Portal for classes a client has registered for so they can share it with their friends.
  3. Allow Clients to Enter Family Information During Registration: by checking this you are allowing clients to enter family members in their account.
  4. Custom Sign-Up Form: here you can select a custom form to be used during the client registration process.


Dog Settings

  1. Custom Sign-Up Form: Here you can select a custom form to be used during the dog registration process.
  2. Automatically add 'Attends' values when client adds a dog: this allows you to set the default values that are automatically entered when a client adds a dog online. By default only dogs with an attends value that corresponds to the current module will show up in the dog list.
  3. Allow Clients to Enter Vaccine Information During Registration: by checking this a client can enter their dog's vaccine information online. You can then verify those and mark them as 'verified' in the system.


Class Registration

  1. Allow Clients to Register for Classes: by checking this your clients will be able to register for classes through the Client Registration Portal.
  2. Show Class Specs on Class Details page: by checking this your clients will see the system generated information when viewing class details.
  3. Days after start date to allow clients to register for a class: this will allow you to specify the number of days after a class starts that you want to allow clients to register. For example: if you want clients to be able to register for up to one week after a class starts you can set this value to 7.
  4. When class is full: : this allows you to specify what your clients will see when a class has reached it maximum capacity. 
    • Don't Show: this will remove the class from the list on the Client Registration Portal
    • Close Registration: this will show a full button and not allow clients to register
    • Allow Registrations: this will show a sign-up button and allow clients to register even though the class is full.
  5. Count pending registrations toward total registrations: checking this will count the pending registrations toward the max number of registrations and not just the confirmed one.
  6. Show number of remaining slots: checking this will show the number of remaining slots for each class.
  7. Add Clients as 'Pending' when registering them for Classes internally: by checking this you can have registrations you add in the system come in as pending like online registrations. That way you can confirm the registration and have the auto-responder sent.


Event Registration

  1. Allow Clients to Register for Events: by checking this your clients will be able to register for any events that you schedule that are marked as Public and have the Track Attendance flag set.
  2. Days Before Start to Close Event Registrationthis will allow you to specify the number of days before events start that you want to close the registration. For example: if you want clients to be able to register for events up to one week before the event starts you can set this value too.
  3. Count pending registrations toward total registrations: checking this will count the pending registrations toward the max number of registrations and not just the confirmed ones.
  4. Add Clients as 'Pending' when registering them for Events internally: by checking this you can have registrations you add in the system come in as pending like online registrations. That way you can confirm the registration and have the auto-responder sent.


Private Training

  1. Allow Clients to Register for Private Training: by checking this you will allow your clients to register for Private Training Sessions through the Client Registration Portal. Click here for more details on setting up your Private Training Schedule.
  2. Add Clients as 'Pending' when registering them for Private Training internally: by checking this you can have registrations you add in the system come in as pending like online registrations. That way you can confirm the registration and have the auto-responder sent.
  3. Calendar Start/End Time: here you can set the start and end times, to control what shows to your clients when they go to register.


Daycare Registration

  1. Allow Clients to Register for Daycare: by checking this you will allow your clients to register for Daycare Sessions through the Client Registration Portal.

 

Boarding Registration

  1. Allow Clients to Register for Boarding: by checking this you will allow your clients to register for Boarding Sessions through the Client Registration Portal.


Therapy Registration

  1. Allow Clients to Register for Therapy: by checking this you will allow your clients to register for Therapy Sessions through the Client Registration Portal.
  2. Add Clients as 'Pending' when registering them for Therapy internally: by checking this you can have registrations you add in the system come in as pending like online registrations. That way you can confirm the registration and have the auto-responder sent.
  3. Calendar Start/End Time: here you can set the start and end time to control what shows to your clients when they go to register.


Transaction/Payment Settings

  1. Use  for online registration transactions: this determines which date you want to have used for transaction when a client registers online.
  2. Allow Clients to Pay Online: by checking this box your clients will be able to pay for classes, events and private training online using either PayPal or Authorize .NET
  3. Allow Clients to Mail in Payments: by checking this box your clients will be able to specify that they are mailing in their payment. This will show them their invoice to print at the end of the registration so they can print and mail it with their payment.
  4. Prompt Clients to Pay Online to Register for Services: by checking this box your clients will have to pay online to complete their registration. Registrations will still be visible to you in DogBizPro but will have a status of Payment Pending until the payment is completed or you manually confirm them. We recommend you do not check this box as some clients may wish to pay by cash or check.
  5. Automatically Confirm Registration when Payment is Processed: by checking this box your registrations will be automatically confirmed when the payment has been processed. Please Note: For PayPal you must also setup the PayPal IPN in your PayPal account.
  6. PayPal
    • In order to accept PayPal payments you must enter the email address associated with your PayPal account.
    • Select the currency to be used for your PayPal payments.
    • By setting up the PayPal IPN (Instant Payment Notification) you can have the payments automatically applied to the clients accounts.
  7. Authorize.NET (Get an Account)
    • In order to accept Authorize .NET payments you need to enter the API Login ID and the Transaction key provided by Authorize .NET.
    • Invoice Description - default memo for online invoices
    • Seal Code - here you can enter the seal code provided by Authorize .NET to display your merchant seal on the shopping cart pages.
    • MD5 Hash - this is the value you have set in your Authorize .NET account for security purposes.
    • Test Mode - this allows you to turn on test mode so you can test the entire payment process through Authorize .NET.
    • Auth Type - this allows you to specify how you want to have your transactions processed through Authorize .NET

Other Settings

  1. Show Client Help Link: checking this will show the 'help' link for your clients. They can click on the link and see the Client Registration Portal help/tutorial.


Policy/Waiver Settings

  1. Show Client Waiver During Registration: by checking this box you will be requiring your clients to click I agree to your waiver in order to proceed with their registration. 
  2. Document: To setup a registration waiver you need to first create a document and then select it from the list.
  3. Waiver Expiration: here you can choose how often your clients will need to 'agree' to the waiver when registering online.
